The licencing of floodplain harvesting has been close to 20 years in the making and the due date for its implementation, July 1 2021, is fast approaching.

However, the program is set to face another hurdle this week, with independent MLC Justin Field posed to move a motion to disallow three floodplain harvesting regulations that the government gazetted last week.
