WARNING OF RISING WATERS ON THE ARNHEM HIGHWAY AT THE ADELAIDE RIVER FLOODPLAIN
Recent and future predicted rainfall coinciding with forecast high tides may result in rising water levels in the Adelaide River catchments which impact 7km of the Arnhem Highway across the Adelaide River floodplain.
This is an existing condition and the reason for the upgrades currently under construction.
Water over the road has been predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology at the floodplain coinciding with high tides at the Adelaide River bridge gauging station over the next few days.
Drivers should use caution when driving through this area.
